First of all, my husband Jim runs his own organic garden seed business. Reading his online seed catalogue will give you an impression of the other side of my life -- the 25 years of country life on the farm on the shores of Murray Lake, and now living close to St. Peter’s Abbey with the monks as our neighbours, business partners and friends: www.prseeds.ca The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops have all their public statements and information on all the dioceses across the country on this website: www.cccb.ca When I need information about church events closer to home, I visit local diocesan websites like www.saskatoonrcdiocese.com and www.padiocese.sk.ca Questions about liturgy and the sacraments come up often. The following website has a neat Q&A section where I have found many an answer: www.blessedsacrament.com Whenever I long to reconnect with my ethnic roots and want to find out what is happening in the Catholic church in the Netherlands, I visit: www.katholieknederland.nl I have had a long-standing relationship with Novalis, the Canadian Catholic publisher. Besides writing for several of their periodicals, they have also been publishing my books: www.novalis.ca My work with the Oblates now spans nearly ten years, with a break in between of a few years. You can learn all about them at: www.omiworld.org I have been pursuing theological studies at a number of different colleges: Lutheran Theological Seminary – www.usask.ca/stu/luther College of Emmanuel & St. Chad – www.usask.ca/stu/emmanuel Newman Theological College – www.newman.edu It may not come as a surprise to know that I have a special passion for all things ecumenical. Through regular visits to a number of ecumenical websites, I stay in touch with the latest publications and events: As you may have learned by visiting this website, preaching is my passion and something I do quite regularly. There are a lot of websites on preaching which can help you prepare a sermon. The danger is more that there is often too much information and background to process on a given Scripture text, so you have to learn to be selective. Eventually I gravitated towards the sites that I like. Here are a few of my favourite preaching websites. Each one will take you to other sites and so on: I try to touch on a few different Catholic publications, some of which I receive through regular mail like the Prairie Messenger, National Bulletin on Liturgy (CCCB), and Celebrate!, others I visit online: National Catholic Reporter -- www.natcath.com/ncr_onli.htm "Partners in Preaching" is a Minnesota based organization which seeks to ensure quality preaching in Catholic communities even in the absence of ordained clergy. They serve as a support network for Catholic lay people called to the preaching ministry. They also offer a training program in preaching for Catholic laity.
